   9 DESCRIPTION
  10      The coretemp driver provides the system with a means of reading the per-
  11      core and, when available, per-package digital temperature sensors on
  12      Intel CPUs.  Currently, the coretemp driver supports Intel Core family
  13      processors after Penryn microarchitecture and Intel Atom processors
  14      starting with the Silvermont microarchitecure.
  15 
  16      Temperature information is available to the system via the fault
  17      management architecture (FMA).  The file system location and programming
  18      interface to the coretemp driver are considered Volatile, subject to
  19      change without notice, and should not be used directly.  Raw temperature
  20      information can be dumped through the FMA developer utility fmtopo.
